DS had many great drummers and this was perhaps a stroke of luck.
Bypassing Manu Katchè who played on maybe two songs on OES, Withers, Williams, Hakim, Porcaro and Whitten played drums.
In my opinion PW was perfect on the first albums, a lot of swing, lots of cymbals, unmistakable style on the first two, more rock and roll on MM, less incisive on LOG.
TW created the most iconic initial solo in rock and played quite well with a r&r fury on Alchemy even if the recording doesn't emphasize the cymbals (better could be Live in SA).
OH is very impressive but not on BIA, excellent album but not for the drums.
JP does a great groove job on some OES tracks, I really like Callin Elvis but generally on the rhythm.
CW is the only one I could admire live (Munchen and twice Milan), I remember Calling Elvis well, the phenomenal finale of MFN and in my opinion he interpreted very well the variety of styles of the songs of the last tour.
On OTN the drums are recorded at a slightly low volume for my taste but Chris plays very well and is very clear in headphones.
I'll risk a vote for everyone.
