Any idea of the amount af DS & MK bootlegs ?
« on: June 17, 2010, 06:59:33 PM »
Hi
In doing some cleanup in my own collection which is a few hundred shows, primarily of Soundbard/FM recordings, I wondered:

What are you ideas / guesses of the actual total amount of MK/DS bootlegs, including both AUD, Soundboard/FM, recordings ??
(considering the databases of Spanish tracker and the TK Hub + others more unknown for both lossless and lossy recording)

I have zero idea myself - my guess would be as good as any 5 year old  ;D

Cheers Peter

That depends on whether you mean "official" bootlegs like Ticket to Heaven which is the Basel 28.06.92 concert or a fan recorded bootleg.  Fan recorded ones must be more or less infinite.

fan recs...pfft...
i, with my small collection have got about 1200 different MK, or DS, or NHB recordings, video and/or audio. not including the EC shows mark played on.
so, you could at least say, FAR MORE then 1200....
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

I got soooo many I lost track.  As far as what I have, I 'm on my second 500 GB external HD.  The sad thing is I wish I have the time to listen and watch them all.   :(   It's an obsession I know.

There are many fans who record the show for a souvenir but don't trade them and these are therefore not in circulation for collectors, so we will never know for sure.

And then you add the interviews and radio/tv appearances . . . .
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along
