The guitar players among you will surely know my blog meanwhile. My last article however might be interesting for all non-guitarists as well: a detailled explaination of the term "loudness war" and the role of dynamics compression in mastering. All sound clips are of course examples from our hero.

Thanks Ingo, looking forward to reading this. You may have noticed I asked Dr Fletch about this subject recently.

Hello Ingo!

I have been at your site and it looks great! The part about loudness etc was too difficult for me, as you perhaps know I am a-technisch, that means not technical at all!  ;D

I have been reading at your site a bit and .......... Hey it was good after we met you in Amsterdam, to see you at the video again! ;D

I sure will be back at the site and also will send the link to my son. He likes to "produce" internet music, so perhaps he can use some of the information also. ;)

Agree with opinions above. I think you have explained this beautifully - even I understood after the first reading! Look forward to exploring the site some more.
