The book I don't think is full of doom and gloom. We all got on with the job and the tour became our lives for more than a year.
There was plenty of mischief making and laughs along the way. As I've said, I don't remember the famous sausage incident in Montreal as a crisis, with a lot of anger and interrogation. A couple of people were annoyed and disappointed after we came off stage, no stronger than that. The next day it was pretty much forgotten, apart from the set list, which most of us found hilarious.

Some people asked about photos that didn't make it into the book.
I took my camera to the 'Calling Elvis' video shoot.

Lovely shots Chris. Nice negative space! Tricky lighting scenarios to get your exposure levels in as well (on an old manual film camera) but you nailed it.

Barcelona 1992.
Who are these young men and where are they now?

I know the names of two of the guys. The guy on the left is called Santi (one of the founders of the Spanish fanzine Rockaway with me and another guy). The guy on the right I think his name is Frederic.  During those concerts in May and October I also went to see Dire Straits at Le meridien hotel in Barcelona. I have pictures with all the band members, except Mark (it was really difficult to get a picture with him for the reasons we all know (I got pictures in 1995 and later years in completely different circumstances), John and Paul. I get everyone's signature, that's for sure!  I've been looking at the pictures a little while ago .... Well, I'm 51 now, Santi is 1 year older than me and I don't know the age of the other guys. In the October concerts, I went into the concert at the Palau Sant Jordi with a video camera. I was able to record the last concert,  the 4th October. Fantastic concerts, fantastic ages, fantastic days that year. Beautiful memories.  ;D ;D ;D

Frederic is Spanish or french? I met in Barcelona two siblings (boy and girl) from France but with family in Spain, I think in Gandia...
the ones that videotaped so many shows?
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....
