Of course everyone can express their opinions and complaints. And I think it's ok to criticize, of course. I do that myself on these pages. I was just tired of reading the same stuff from the same five persons going on and on about that they'd wish MK was another person. Like it was a scandal or something. And I feel that things got way out of proportions. That's all.

Of course we are all fans. But someone here think that they represent "THE fans'" opinion, and I don't think they do. But, of course, if I was a bootlegger, I would be a bit disappointed.

So name the other four then...? :-\

There is quite a very uncourteous and harsh tone in some of your posts sometimes - and that in a personal manner in terms of other members, not in terms of the theme of the thread. I find that somehow disturbing and disrespecful I must admit. As long as I talk about set-lists, tours, sounds, songs
and DECISIONS made by MK, not about MK himself, I do not think I am in a position where I could called a person "going on and on about that  (...) wish MK was another person."  If I state I wish he would play more other than the usual stuff, i think that is ok and no personal offence in MK's direction. You have to stand stuff like this in a fan forum.

If someone thinks he presents "THE fans" opinion, then it is you with your post from today.

Maybe Mark should play with his eyes closed like Chris Rea does.  ;) Chris wouldn't notice if all people were gone because he is so focussed on his music - that's what he said recently. To be honest I've never been to a concert with an artist who gets distracted so easily - although I totally agree that the red-light-folks (don't get it wrong  ;D) don't show much respect and consideration. Hopefully Mark will not mutate into some kind of Roger Waters - we all know what he did back in Montreal 1977  :o

Sad to hear Mark stopped playing BIA because of a "fan" videotaping the show. Before the show, PC comes on stage to say a few words. Unfortunately a "fan" with (I guess) sh*t in his ears ruins the show for everyone. Just like the "fan" in London 2008... ::) idiots

This is what Guy had to say on his forum today:

He didn't stop playing, he pointed in a natural pause in what he was doing. The show wasn't interrupted in any way. He gets very pissed off by people blatantly filming.

that's not so bad then, I take back my harsh words about his head being on fire  ;D still, I would have thought that at his age and with his experience we would be able to let it all go....

It's still not on with me.  I was brought up to think that pointing at people was rude.  Am I wrong?  I feel he should be 100% focussed on his performance anyway and not on looking out for filmers.

I agree.
It's not his job. If he hunts the videotapers, will he ask the security guys to play guitar parts ?
Not a bad idea : we know they need one or two more guitars to play Silvertown Blues.

I know he must feel extremely frustrated to see people blatently filming, when they know his views on this, but I think he should keep his feelings under control and concentrate on the music, because it must be uncomfortable and embarrassing to be in the audience when it happens.

Let's give MK a break with this. I don't think what he did was particularly offensive. Maybe it wasn't the best thing he could do.  But he was annoyed, so he reacted. We've all done things when annoyed. Surely what would be better is if the security actively looked for people making videos instead of, say, hunting down people making audio copies. MK doesn't like videos, but has a great attitude when it comes to audio. Let's be very thankful for that!

As for Guy mentioning this himself, well that was really open and honest, which we're very lucky for... it's great that they have an ear to the ground - as well as an ear for great music.

As Ive said before on the forum.  I've seen him sing "Im an arsehole I dont care" during Why Aye Man on the last tour whilst pointing at a filmer, so buy that standard he's calmed down.
