What a huge mistake by MK in the end of border Reiver!!!!!!!

Mistake?    I didn't notice one!    Just a bit clumsy, that's all!    :)

OK, it was too relaxed then, according to Guy!    ;D

Was there something wrong with MK's mic during the middle of Coyote?  Or is this an IEM recording?  :P

allen,  It was "Cleaning my Gun" on this one, not "Coyote".   Yes the sound from MK's mic just about disappeared.   The people on MK.Com who atrtended the concert said the sound was low in the middle, but recovered.    :)

Phoenix hasn't turned up.  And we seems to get unlucky these days.  So silent about new recordings.  :(

Yes I did, Pottel.  But only one:  Santa Rosa.   The Sultans of Swing track is corrupted and I have to work with it, and Border Reiver has some awful distortion before I got the sound turned down.  From my spot there was heavy bass.    Since there is another version, I didn't know if mine would be wanted, but if it is, I'll upload.

Sorry about Phoenix. I pm'd the person on markknopfler.com who said they'd recorded the gig, but I haven't had a reply. Maybe there is still a chance.

Guy's Forum:

I LOVED the new arrangement on *****.... perfect for a small intimate concert such as last night. Whose idea was it to change the arrangements? And any plans of rearranging other DS classics?

Which song does he means? Maybe So Far Away in the 86 style? ;) A couple of concerts ago, the short intro was like that...

Is there a recording of the chicago show? I want to know which song got the new arrangement...

I would think "Brothers In Arms" Remember, not everbody is a die-hard-fan and knows all versions from all songs since 1836...
Maybe that writer was impressed by the stripped-down version of Brothers. Which is great. But I also would love to hear it again with full energy...

So would I!    My favourite live recording of BIA is from Toronto 2001 and I would love to hear it played like that again.   I am always underwhelmed these days by BIA in concert.  Sometimes it seems quite clumsily played.
