Who are these men on the photos?

Need your help to figure out these men.
My idea of heaven is a place where the Tyne meets the Delta, where folk music meets the blues.

In the top right I think it's Peter Granger.

DS dedicated the MFN compilation to him in the booklet :
"FOR PETER GRANGER 23RD NOVEMBER 1953 -24TH OCTOBER 1986"

Peter Granger, who has done the sound at all the Straits shows for the past 9 years or so, was killed a couple of months ago, by a hit and run driver. He was walking near his home in Gloucestershire with his son James in his arms, when the car mounted the pavement and hit him (James, luckily, was thrown clear). Pete died a couple of days later in hospital, having never regained consciousness. Needless to say, all of the group, crew and office staff were shattered by this, as Pete had been 'part of the family' for so long. Dire Straits have used the same crew members all along, and there haven't been many changes in personnel at the office either - it's a very close-knit organisation.

Sad story. However and apart from that, it was a very nice moment to read this old stuff again (I mean the Information letter by Liz of course.) I liked
very much this sentence:

John has recorded a few tracks for a future solo record, but has just left to go on holiday to Australia for about 3 months

That must have been great times for rock stars to live after some great world tour....

The man above John Illsley is Paul Cummins ( close up, half-face and smiling) - the DS Tour Manager...

I met and spoke to Paul cummins at the John Illsley gig a few weeks ago. A very nice man.
He still sees Mark quite a lot. He said he was just off to see Eric Clapton at the Crossroads gig.
I asked him if, when he sees Mark, he could ask him to join Eric on one of these crossroad festivals. He replied he has asked him before, but to no avail :(

Interesting info. Come on MK, it's for charity (sort of).

Paul Cummings is good friends with EC according to EC's autobigraphy, more so than MK.

Thank you ustas for a very interesting link as usual! I read for the first time (on the bottom of that picture) that there was obviously planned a "Lester Bookbinder Making Movies Movie". The stills are from those ugly video clips from that time, so thank god that movie did never happen...

Those videos have to be the worst ever.

Maybe we could use this one and the other videos to blackmail MK... We lock him into a room, videos playing, we keep the remote control. He has to endure this until he agrees on a live DVD release of the current tour  ;D
