I bought the USB stick yesterday night and the sound quality is excellent.
I'm downloading the encores right now.
I really loved the Donegan's Gone intro. Is it the Seeing In The Dark soundtrack?

What equipment do you use to listen to?

Does your question imply that you don't think it sounds great??  ???

I would said that I have listened by the past live broadcast recording (BBC and Montreux are especially good at this)  that sound much better that the MK Antwerp recording I get. Hamburg or Vaison 96 or almost any other SBD from 96 seem to be better MIXED  ???

Hmm, I dunno, I listened to Hamburg 96 the other day and as great as it is, sound quality wise I think these new Simfy recordings are way ahead.

Agree Dusty, sound is crispy, clear. Of course lossy, but it doesn't bother me.

yeah, Vaison and Hamburg 96 are all taken from (good) radio broadcast redordings if I remember well? So is it really possible that they have better sound
than SimfyLive? I however have not THAT special hifi ears and not THAT great high end equipment, so my judgement is maybe irrelevant, but I like the
London show very much!

I won't use the word  "better" or "worse" alone because this is too limitating my judgement and what I want express.

For example the NDR broadcast from 2001 has a good mix also but broadcast was overly compressed to death, and the 2006 one is saturating.

So the MP3@320 simfy recording is not bad in itself but I wonder why the mix does not respect more the one intended for the house especialy, why Richard has myteriously diseappeared from SAN [ok I have to admit it, this is driving me crazy because this is not the first time that Richard can play really LOUD with a pick and a Les Paul but the recording on that song does not make justice to him].

On the other hand I am very thankful that they did mixed the audience quite acurately.

Ulf Ronneberger is the guy who does the mixes, according to Guy's diary entry from yesterday. There is a pic. Maybe this guy has to learn a bit about the set before his mixes are getting "REALLY" good. You can't expect any professional music tech to know the special moments of the set. Let's wait and see.
He has a little boot obviously where there is his mixing table. Interesting picture... About the London mix I have nothing to complain, I must add!

Just listened to SAN from Luxembourg and sadly it sounds like MK has disappeared from it too!  Mike has taken over the song from the mix there and the same goes for WAM.  Too bad as the sound on most songs is otherwise very good, Sultans e.g.

Could it be that they've given Mike a slightly bigger role since he's staying on for the rest of the tour?  Maybe that's why WAM's been resurrected and he has a solo on that now.  Does Mark actually play the WAM riff any more? :disbelief

Well he should have a day "off recording" to just listen how it sound live and take some notes. Then the day after he will be able to adjust level on songs and on parts of them to get the right mix at the right time. Or give me the multichannel recording and I will do a f..kin' mix myself!

Just like filming a concert, if the director attend a previous show he will know which and when camera he has to use to capture the event.
