I managed to get along to the show last night and it was a really good night. Lots of A listers in the audience, as well as Charles and Camilla. I was right in front of a box containing Jenson Button and Kelly Brook, who look like they quite like each other(!). Music wise, you needed pretty catholic tastes, as the music was so varied, and the sound was not as good as usual for the RAH imo. Alison Moyet has lost tons of weight and was an unrecognisable sylph like figure - until she started singing. Great voice. Jamie Cullum was pretty special. He really is that small! I found myself in awe of Tom Jones' voice - truly brilliant. Midge Ure did a great Vienna with Guy on the keys. Guy played it very well, but it was really the only song where you could clearly make out his contribution, and that was a shame. Clapton was brilliant, but I felt he lost the audience. He played lots of old blues, acoustic and electric, and none of his hits, when this was really an audience that was looking for instantly recognisable songs. Brian May was v good (and v grey) and essentially closed out the show. Was it worth
