It has been posted before indeed, but nevermind, it is so good that you can't watch it often enough!  :lol :lol :lol
I really love it! Mark is in such a good relaxed mood in these clips! And Phil seems to be a really nice chap.
I bet he will be playing on Mark's next album again...

Phil's programme's are pretty popular here in Scotland, especially one called Scotland's Music which was a series of shows where he took us on a tour of Scotland and taught us all a history lesson at the same time.  But all in his own inimitable style!
And he is a really nice guy.  I've had the pleasure on two occasions, the 2nd time after the MK show in Glasgow this year but this first time was after he had done the show for the charity I was working for.  He was a friend of my boss and was delighted to do the show and even brought along his long-time collaborator Aly Bain and they both put on a very entertaining show and we raised a lot of money.  All they insisted in was that there was a bottle of Famous Grouse in their dressing room and that was it!  Personally I always say life's too short for blended whisky! ;D

Thanks! Nice little story. I listened to the Glasgow MK show recently. I am sure they had a lot of fun afterwards!  :D

Good to hear you met him.   Also about Aly Bain.    We went to a concert earlier this year when Phil C & Aly Bain were touring. good stuff.    Phil tells funny and risque jokes and stories all the way through.

I'm a fan of the celtic connection, so its good to hear it in some of MK's music

"Transatlantic Sessions"  on BBC4 were great programmes with Phil Cunningham, Aly Bain and also Mike McGoldrick in some of the later ones.   They can still be found on Youtube and sometimes are repeated on BBC iplayer.  Hopefully there will be another series soon!   :)

I forgot all about this series.  Another great one.  He really has a nice relaxed, easy going, friendly manner about him that comes across well on the TV - just perfect for presenting.
