ALAN, CHRIS, JACK AND PHIL: Follwing July's gig in Italy's Monte San Giovanni Campano Alan Clark, Chris White, Jack Sonni and Phil Palmer, will be performing together along with Marco Caviglia's band in Porto di Catania, Catania, Sicily, on the 25th of September. (03/09/10)

As has been said on the "Almost Straits" thread, without Mark Knopfler they are just a band of good musicians, nothing more.  Mark WAS Dire Straits and without him and his fantastic guitar sound, it just wouldn't be the same!   :-\

They are not wealthy people, or at least they did not get wealthy from being in DS, and being a professional musician is tough, you really have to take what you can to pay the bills. Jack Sonni however seems to do it just for fun and for the chance to travel, so there is that as well.
