sorry guys, I think I caused initial confusion on Road to Hell - Chris Rea.  I'm a fan of both CR & MK (+ others).  Anyway Collaborations list is good

Another subject could be - other music/concerts I go to.....??

A new one from Thomas Dolby.
MK plays on 17 Hills some great riffs.

You can download the EP for $3. It is worth the bucks.

But what I heard in the youtube movie is that Mark just played some solo's and sent them over to Thomas.
But the three numbers are really great.

1. Road To Reno
2. Toad Lickers
3. 17 Hills

Definitely 17 solos!   :o   It must have been a bit like choosing from a very fine box of chocolates!    Mmm, which ones to choose?  :P

Very astonishing. Who would have thought that MK is giving so much input into just another session recording? Can you all really imagine that MK recorded let's say, 15 to 20 different solos for his own material? I would think they go as efficient (if not lazy) as it gets and record one or two different versions at the most.

How great would it be to be able to listen to all that not-used stuff from songs like "So Far From The Clyde", "Hill Farmer's Blues" and so on...

I just updated my spotify playlist of Mark Knopfler Colaborations with many songs that were not available before, you can subscribe to it:

http://open.spotify.com/user/jbaent/playlist/1sI0IHsBN6GiStsiqeST5y

Thomas Dolby track is not yet at spotify.

Spotify now is free, but with a 20 hours per month restriction.
You might get lucky, now and then
