Guy's response today: "Quite busy actually - Working with Mr. Illsley on an 'unspecified' project and with a very cool, young Brighton band called Modern Fighting Vehicles. Stuff happening in the new year too."

Let's hope the "stuff happening in the new year" is related to Mark...

I'd be happy with Guy related stuff

It's good to hear that Guy is busy! I think those men always are busy with something!

Mark told in an interview that he is lazy and likes to lay at the couch  :o ......*lucky for him he isn't married with me*  . I think that he is busy writing music and songs! There might be so much material that he doesn't need a long time to produce and we all can have a new CD at the end of next year again!

I LOVED this tour and still listen everyday to the symfy of Amsterdam when I sit in the buss to get to work! I sure would LOVE to have a DVD of a concert of last Tour.

Has it been broadcast yet on Norwegian TV?    If so, maybe there is a recording somewhere, hopefully!   :P

This from Guy's page today:

"The BluesClub band is stirring into action once again. In recent weeks we've had a few rehearsals and decided to start thinking about some shows in the new year, possibly even venturing into Europe!"

Nice to hear, but doesn't bode well for rehearsing a new MK album in the near future, I fear!     :-\

On second thoughts, though, the last Blues Band get-together was in early 2009, the same year that Get Lucky was released, so there's still some glimmer of hope!   :)

I agree, I don't think Mark has any plans soon to start fiddling with the recording buttons! Unless of course he is going in a new direction that will give us all a pleasant surprise! Ummmmm!

Perhaps we don`t even know what Mark is doing now. He could be in the studio! But our only source we have now is Guy. He doesn`t have to say anything..

No, it hasn't been brodcasted anywhere, and most likely it never will either. Norwegian Wood is a festival lasting for four days. As far as I know, NRK has the rights to film every concert during this period, and they do. Everything is then put out on their webpage, and this year only one concert is missing, Mark Knopfler's... I heard that some people tried to solve this, but there wasn't a chance...

I think it's a shame. There where several cameras there, operated by the biggest TV station in Norway. The quality would have been great. I makes me a bit crazy to know that it's all there on recording, just not available to us...

Thank you Jarle.   That's really terrible, particularly when only MK's concert is missing!   We just have to hope for Montreux and maybe something from Lisbon.   :)

That won't happen, for the same reason it isn't on the Norwegian website... Mark doesn't want it :-\
