This is an AVI, one good quality AVI was already removed by SC. Plus the tracker is still down anyway, maybe they are being sued by the BBC...

Sorry for the delay...thepiratebay.org has been down for ages. I've given up waiting and have put it up here instead: http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Mark-Knopfler-A-Life-In-Songs/4432d53f4749c3fad4123feb0de4cc2680961d5a2fc3

This is the DVD upgrade that some have requested. It also includes MFN from the Jools show.

This version is smaller, but also better quality. It has not been re-encoded, this is a direct DVB capture. The other version currently available is a re-encoded recording from a DVD-recorder. This new one is the exact digital video/audio as broadcast by the BBC and should therefore be the best quality available.

The only possible upgrade would be if "A Life in Songs" is repeated on BBC2 (as often happens with BBC4 stuff). A BBC2 capture would have a higher bitrate and would not have a logo on the screen. However, this probably won't happen for a while yet, and it may not happen at all. For now, this torrent should be the best version.

my upload will be:
Mark Knopfler
A Life in Songs
BBC FOUR
January 28th 2011

Mark Knopfler is one of the most successful musicians in the world. During the past 30 years he has written
and recorded over 300 songs including some of the most famous in popular music.

In this in-depth documentary he talks about how these songs have defined him and how they have been influenced
by his own life and roots. It features previously unseen photographs from his personal collection and
omprehensive footage spanning his career from a struggling musician playing in pubs in Leeds in the 1970s,
to the record-breaking success with Dire Straits and his world tour as a solo artist.

Looking back over the 25 years since he wrote the iconic Brothers In Arms album, the documentary takes an
affectionate look at how this formidable, creative man has operated as a musician for three decades and how
he continues to do so as a solo artist who is as much in demand as ever.

They are both direct captures, therefore quality will be identical. I will however go for Piper's version, as it has the "bonus" of MFN, sorry Pottel!

Sorry. The KnopflerTK tracker was down for several days, because the internet connection was dropped. Now it's running.

I will upload there the "piper" version when I got it from btjunkie, (if noone do it before, of course).

Thanks to the folks that recorded them.
Greetings from Cadiz, Spain :-)
