guitars sound of shangri la tour better than KTGC tour !?
« on: August 07, 2008, 10:39:57 PM »
honestly, the sound of guitars on shangri la tour is better than this tour, the sound was more powerful ! I still prefer the sound of the Pensa Mk1 !
If I realised that the chances were slim,
How come I'm so surprised when the tide rolled in

I think that the old amp "komet ?" had fat tone. I loved the tone of les paul through Komet (shangri la tour) ;D, and fender through new amp (KTGC tour). :)

Hmm, I didn't sense a big difference in guitar tone between the two tours, but I am absolutely not a guitar expert. What I did find disapointing instead about the Kill to Get Crimson tour was the removal of some of DC's drum "fills". The one at the end of Romeo & Juliet was the most obvious; right before the piano outro / end of song. Instead of hitting all the snares (?) like he did on the 2005 tour, he just lightly tapped the cymbals this time out. Kind of weak IMO, when you obviously expect some heavy drums in that part...
