AMIT home page update?

Hi. Just a thought i've had for a while now, but only just got around to posting it as a topic.

As AMIT is 'THE BEST' site for breaking Knopfler related news and seems to be getting a stronger following
as each day passes, don't you think that the second paragraph on the home page needs updating.

This could include a reference to the extremely popular Get Lucky tour, and even a mention of the fact that
Mark is currently in the studio embarking on yet another hugely eagerly awaited album.

We could have a 'Home Page COMPETITION'

Winner gets to have a meal in a swanky restaurant of he or she's choosing with & paid for by Pottel

I think not only the text of the main page needs to be changed, but the format/design could use a makeover as well. I'd love to see better integration between the home page and forum. Maybe it's best to do one thing at a time though.

In fact, I just saw that homepage for the first time after BBB's post  . As most sections are
still "under construction", I think it is not very urgent to update it, it seems it never was... but BBB is right that the second paragraph needs some new info if we decide to change it!

Just thought it might be good as this is the BEST forum
To have a bang on up to date homepage.

I have expressed my view to the other Editors that the second paragraph is unnecessary and should simply be removed.
