I hope he'll preview some from the new album and a few that haven't been played from GL and other solo albums.   :)

That would be very nice.  We got Quality Shoe and Why Aye Man during the 2002 charity shows so it's not outwith the realms of possibility!

That would be great, but Guy said a while ago that MK was put off playing unreleased songs as they would appear on youtube before they are released and in crappy quality.

I put Speedway in the set because I thought he would want to show us what the new guy can do.

I don't think Elvis will play again! ;D

Piper is fine as very last song but the concert isn't ending there.  Bob's still to come on remember!

Border Reiver to start because it uses pipes and whistles up and John and Mike won't be redundant.

I think that it will be a special setlist, without Sultans Of Swing for example, like on the ATRR tour.
And we have just one world

I don't know if Mark and his Bobness have any time to rehearse together before Dublin, but if not, hopefully they can put a couple of things together backstage on the night!

Good optimism - sadly MK doesnt do things like that!  Any tune has got to be rehersed to within an inch of its life!

Could be so, but as someone else has mentionend, what would be the point if nothing is played together ?... it would not be disappointing to me if there were not. Alone in the fact that MK does a small tour right now, is a huge surprise in itself. To hear MK & band for just 1 hour maybe is a pre-christmas present  ;)
Cheers Peter

There's NO chance of them not doing a few songs together. I'm willing to bet money.
Hey, i`ve got a truffle dog - finally a song the ordinary man can relate too!

I do hope that they play at least 30 minutes together after Dylan

I totally agree Gletch, so I can bet WITH you, but not against  ;)

It seems to me that  the only possibility to see them both will be if Bob joins Mark's set for the last few minutes/songs... That would give him a big cheer as he is "top act", and would also give Mark the honour that Bob duets with him. I cannot imagine Mark waiting for an hour or so backstage and then coming back to play with Bob.

I am not so sure if I would be very happy if it would work out that way because it would shorten Mark's set in a way. But if they play "Knocking On Heaven's Door" with a nice MK solo or something else it would be fine. Bob could then go off with the band and return after the break with his own "pants".

BTW, I decided last night that "Boom, Like That" has to return into Mark's set!  ;D

Haha LE, that would be a good option too  :)
I start with Dublin and when I have seen BD once it's enough, so if BD and MK play together between the 2 sets it means that at the other 4 concerts I attend I can go to the pub earlier. No need to see BD more than once  :P

After all, we should not forget that MK changed the set lists of the first leg of the last tour very often. I think there were no two identical set lists in the whole American/Canadian leg? And even if it is only one or two songs, it was great to read a new set list every day. Of course later on, when the band had found the right "pace", I expected one set that rolled out to the end of the tour. Mark has always done that at earlier tours. But I think we got pretty much variation on the last tour.
Not comparable with Bob Dylan, but great nevertheless.
