I hope the guys start playing Speedway again.  The two versions played so far on this tour are probably the best I've ever heard and So Far Away is a very poor substitute.  I was fortunate enough to hear Speedway but I felt a little disappointed when they went off stage after BIA and I thought we were not getting it after all.

It looks like MK put his LP back on again at the end of the video above.  Maybe after their little conference, the band decided to go for it!

On this guitar change, it seems that they played SFA. I don't have nothing against SFA, but don't like it instead of Speedway.

I like SFA in Oberhausen last year, real extended intro from Guy. MK making fun with the boys not starting.

I think Speedway has been skipped because it wasn't like Speedway with Danny on drums.

I agree with you Ingrid!   When I listen to my Simfy recordings from last year, "Speedway" had so much more energy!

Agree with you both. I'd dare to say that maybe - I'm not a drum expert - Ian Thomas sounds a bit more technical than Danny but Danny knows WHEN and HOW to HIT the drums. And I think, for what it's worth that there's a lack of power in the songs I heard so far. Though, I didn't attend any gig yet, but to me, Speedway, Cleaning my gun or even What it is sound less powerful than previous versions.

Just my humble opinion though. Maybe Danny will be back next tour, who knows?

I felt Sonny Liston was weaker too!   I remember when I first heard it played in 2005 at Edinburgh, Danny's drumming just blew me away.  Although it was OK with Ian, I liked it much better with Danny.

From what I've heard on one of the audience tapes, it sounded like Ian was adding his own flavor to it with some additional drum fills. I'd rather see that than see him copy DC live.

14 October 1977, Bing Crosby died from heart attack at the age of 74. Makes you wonder about lost time...
Come on, it is not funny anymore.
