I just dont get why they didnt play together yet, last year tour MK was invited during the last month of the tour and apparently Dylan enjoyed it a lot, so the logical thing was that they started to play together from the first night...

It does sound a little strange.  The only explanations I can come up with are:

Mark wants to ease himself into touring again by playing as little as possible (which would explain the "zero guitar" sets too)

Krusty has altered the arrangements of the songs they played together on last time around and Mark wants to get to familiarise himself with them first.
"I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order."

I'm sure Mark has to be asked by Bob to join him in the first place!   Maybe Bob isn't ready for him yet, just like he's not ready to play Tempest songs!    Bob seems to be a bit more perverse than usual at the moment!     :)     I'm sure MK will jump to attention the minute he is asked!   ;D

Things have changed.
Krusty has not changed. Weird and unpredictable.
He needs a dozen shows to understand he is not doing so well, so maybe let's get some support to boost up the shows.

It's all about Krusty's goodwill. However as dmg said, the zero guitar 2nd set may hide something on Mark's side.

Guy says they are traveling by bus, leaving the venue little after they finish their concert.

It seems they do it the same way as last time? So you can be sure that they start with one, two songs during the next few shows... and will end up with Mark singing at the last show. So you could just buy tickets for the last show as well... whereas people who don't like Bob's set "spoiled" by Mark can be sure that the first five, six shows are without MK... So there is something for each one's taste!  :)

What do you all mean by "zero guitar" sets? I don't get it - have problems to keep up with all the posts at the moment too much other stuff to do...

It was I who started it.  What I meant by using the phrase "zero guitar" was that any song that required any semblance of a guitar solo had been removed and the set contained songs that Mark (as such a gifted guitarist) could play in his sleep.

Ah ok. I am not so much into the new set lists.. Only thing that annoys me (a bit) about them is Knoxville... and to be honest, So Far Away has been played better on last outings... the version in the other thread (nice Youtube clip) sounds boring and dull... First thing that came to my mind was seeing them all on stage, usual set up, "same shit, another day...."

I have them on a "Word" sheet in the same format as the 1st page of each concert.

Do you think that they are not going to play together in the whole tour?

Does this have any sense if they don
