That is a good one indeed... Oh and reading Guy's diary where he says Nigel Hitchcock (he plays sax) will be joining them on UK shows probably meens more DS songs in the list.

Setlist looks realistic but too long  ???
And I don't think more DS songs at all, realistic is less.
There is some sax but in Privateering you can hear some sax too. AND if a song didn't contain sax before it doesn't mean that it cannot appear. Hopefully not too much  ::)

I don't know;  Mark's current trend toward Celtic/folky stuff doesn't really lend itself as well to sax interludes as DS songs did so I tend to think more oldies or less Celtic style too.

Y&YF is a really great song. I think it fits MK even more these days! The danger is that there will be a lot of folky folky I'm afraid.. Mike, John etc ;D

Mark said that he did not like the angle used to wrote songs for the OES album, and I think Y&YF is part of them, although muscially speaking that one is pure jewel.

The haters are those who write shit

I always wondered what was "You and your friend" about...

I always thought it was on the famous basic love triangle : husband, wife and lover

why shoud we always surch complication in Mark's songs ?  :hmm :lol

Well, Mark takes a saxplayer with him on tour. So I think we can expect quite a different setlist. I saw someone mention Y&YF, but that would kinda require Paul Franklin. So I think that one won't be played.
With a saxplayer being in the band who knows we might see Tunnel of Love back on setlist and the sax driven song Planet of New Orleans woudln't suprise me either to appear.

Also I read not to long ago in a magazine that Mark was thinking about putting Iron Hand on the setlist.

The wishes I have is the following songs being on the playlist:
- Yon Two Crows
- Haul Away
- the extended version of Marbletown
- So Far From The Clyde
- Hill Farmer Blues
- Speedway At Nazareth

The songs Border Reiver, Iron Hand, Planet of New Orleans and Silvertown Blues would be very very nice too!

I think that the setlist will vary a little bit on this tour, simply because of the extra musicians that are added. With Ruth Moody opening some shows, the addition of Nigel in the UK, and you never know, maybe a special apperance from Clapton on the first night at the RAH. (Clapton is playing the night before.)
Watch for Portobello Belle this time too. Marbletown and TR will be gone I think.

1) What it is/Why aye Man
2) Corned beef city
3) Sailing to Phily
4) Redbud tree
5) Privateering
6) Hill Farmers Blues
7) Portobello Belle
8) Sultans
9) Romeo and Juliet
10) Kingdom of Gold/Yon Two crows
11) Dream of the Drowned Submariner
12) Done with Boneparte/Border Reiver
13) Haul Away/Brothers in Arms
14) Speedway at Nazareth
15) Go Love/Seattle (with Ruth Moody)
16) So far away
17) Going Home
