Replacing Sultans with Gator Blood is like replacing Mozart with Justin Bieber...:(

Indeed, Gator is a decent song but it is no replacement for Sultans. The shows now lack the traditional show-stopper in the middle of the set.

Yesterday, standing ovation after Sultans.
Guess it was too much for Mark: "Standing ovation for the first song I did 35 years ago ? and none for my recent work ? Ok. Tomorrow, you'll pay for it. Well not you, but those who will be in your place" :D
Gator is a below average song for me. (By Mark's standard that is, which means that it is not a bad song). It reminds me of "Right now" used as an opener during the ATTR tour. No masterpiece...

Wow... Brothers to make up for Sultans. Good thing.
Well, there was a time were both of them were "sticky"... and I think it should be this way...
And where have the Crows gone ? :(

Well, I have never understood why seven minutes of Shangri-La would constitute a fitting encore. Many people won't know it. Brothers is a much better choice even if it's been done to death.

I am surprised he still hasn't swapped Telegraph with The fish and the bird or Madame Geneva
but I am expecting it soon :)

Fantastic concert yet again!! 'Kingdom of Gold' with Ruth was mindblowing along with an excellent 'Seattle' too..
Pleased there was no Sultans as there is no need to have it every night! Besides 'Gator blood' more than justifies itself in its place!! Enjoyed Brothers as it made a change but again having been to four dates on this tour now I couldnt care less what the setlist is going to be because I am personally grateful to have the privilage of hearing the 'master' play!! What a band!!! Any doubters please go to a 'RAH' show before you comment!!

Its been a pleasure to meet Love expresso, DMG, Pottel, Superval, Kit Kat, Fieneke, Dusty Valentino, Ingrid, Knopflerized; BBB and all that I cannot remember! Until the next time in town....! Til the next time.....

I'm still astonished by your comments, Herlock  ;D

"Marbletown is the new TOL", "sultans /gator blood is similar to Mozart / Bieber".... uuh ? :o  :smack

I can understand your disapointment or your enthousiasm, but I think  it goes a little bit to excessiveness  ;D ;D

the abyss between Mozart and bieber......well how to describe this ? :hmm I don't know, but certainly not between 2 MK's songs  :lol :lol

BTW, I like Gator blood, and especially the live version, and even if it's not one of his best tunes, it's clearly not one of his worst...

And I like Right now too... ;)
