Imo not a good reason why this cannot be played with Mikes clarinet knowledge..not an extensive use of it..so hope to hear it in Italy! Minus is again too much of the flute for me..but then again bad sound and it might not be that overwhelming live

NIce to have seen the live video, even though frankly the quality ain't great. The song - a favourite of mine on the album - seems like a pretty direct swap live with Haul Away - even the subject matter is somewhat similar, with all the imagery of watery graves. Not convinced that the live version adds all that much to the studio original. Whereas Yon Two Crows could have been stonkingly good live, properly extended (and don't get me started on Silvertown Blues or So Far From the Clyde!).

Thank you guys.  I enjoy today very much and hope our man will give us another surprise tonight!  Go, love, for example.  I personally really want an extended gibson solo.  :lol

That would be a nice birthday present!  Many happy returns and of course to all our American friends - :thumbsup

Go Love and Bluebird for me.  thanks dmg, listening to the fireworks booming in the sky right now.

Wow!
Yes, sound quality is pretty bad, but I really got goosebumps with Mark's voice- really great singing, compared for example to the live verisons of 5.15am,
a song I was looking forward to be played live some day but leaves a slightly disappointment because he cannot do it...
but this one is really phantastic! And I like the flutes, fit very well imno.
And Iantos drumming at the end gives the typical live feel!

Now let's hope this song will have a similar evolution as KOG, from 2012 until now the end solo has been extended slightly.

Bravo Mark, not only a little surprise, but a really great one!

Even though the sound quality isn't so good, I thought this was really beautiful and translates very well to the stage.   Mark's voice sounded great and I'm sure it will be played again  - Mike is very able to do it for sure!   I will keep my fingers crossed to hear it in Carcassonne!   :)

A beautiful song, beautifully performed but I can't help wishing he would just let rip on that final solo.  He just seems to be playing the song out rather than giving a "solo" in the true sense of the word.
