Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain - on TV
« on: August 02, 2013, 02:23:27 PM »
I seem to recall Richard writing about he enjoyed a performance by the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain and there's a concert recording coming up on TV shortly:

Maybe one or two folk here would like to try them out.

I'm sorry but it is not recorded on my PC and I have no means of doing so.

My guess is that it was taken from this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Under-Ukulele-Orchestra-Great-Britain/dp/B00AN0LW04/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1376027686&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=the+ukelele+orchestra+of+great+britain

Here's an exceprt:-

And here's a UK concert:

Pick Your Track:
1. Devil's Gallop, Dick Barton Special Agent
2. Teenage Kicks 03:30
3. Leaning on a Lampost 06:00
4. Wuthering Heights 10:52
5. Smells like Teen Spirit 14:25
6. You don't bring me Flowers 20:00
7. Life on Mars 23:40
8. Hard to Handle 27:22
9. Mcarthur Park 30:03
10. Orange Blossom 36:27
11. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 41:50
12. Hot Tamales, They're Red Hot 47:00
13. Satellite of Love 50:41
14. Fly me off? the Handel 54:28
15. Should I stay or should I go 59:45
16. Le Freak 01:02:20

For those too young and/or living outside Britain, the opening song was the theme for a radio series "Dick Barton, Special Agent", and the "Snowy" referred to at one point was one of his assistants.
