Just a thought. Sometimes I find many nice things from MK/DS and if by any chance I have spare money I bid. I probably bid against some of the AMITers. Which is a shame because have I known that there is someone else from here that wishes to have the same thing, I wouldn't bid against. It is a shame to raise the price and usually bow out in the end but not before I make them pay good money, when with a bit of collaboration and patience all people can get what they want at a cheaper price. Of course there are many DS/MK fans that are not here in AMIT and in some cases there are those that buy in order to resell in much higher prices. But is there a formula to make it work?
Come on, it is not funny anymore.

I am not sure either Pottel. A few years back, with some of my friends (now all gone abroad) I used to know their wish lists and they knew mine. I had my eyes open for all  and they had theirs as well.  I guess there would be some tension in case of a rare item, or of a strong desire to have at once.  But for more common items that pop up more often it would be nice to have a common understanding.

OK, let's see if it can work.
There is a seller from the USA that has many items, some hard to find some common. Follow this link and check his items!

From the VCDs I only miss Alchemy.  I have the rest as they are and a different edition of the SOS VCD but I don't mind that much. But I miss most of the radio programs and some of the bootlegs. Here is a screen shot of what I am bidding on, which is pretty much what I am going after. Already outbid on some.  It is still early on and the hard to find will probably fetch twice, three or more times the current bid, so out of my reach. Nevertheless, I have already contacted  the seller and he offers combined shipping for larger parcels with many CDs, for 26$.

Although there are interesting items, for contingent reasons, I'm not going to make offers. Anyway, it's easy to predict that some radio show will reach quite substantial figures.
You may like to know that the Encores CD single is the Australian edition and that, despite the sticker on the jewelcase, the Going Home CD is not the promo version (it lacks of the relative writing on the disc label)

Hello Rudiger! Thank you for the information. Interesting and informative as always!  :wave
Yes, it is the first time I see some of these radio shows and 2 of them I never knew existed, or at least in CD format. I wonder how rare can they be, in actual numbers.
A couple of them I have seen go in the past for over 50 Euros, but maybe the demand is not so great anymore. Or is it?  ;)

I'm afraid that the Timothy White and some other live show are still in demand.
By the way, if someone (here) were to win one of the radio-shows with "custom" cover, it would be interesting to know if (as I guess) the cover is homemade.

Now that you mention it, I wondered about the RAH one which I have come by it without covers.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/ds_luxury_eyewear/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Seems that people with many fine DS/MK things on their possession sell right now. Don't know why, now, maybe because of the new release? Anyway. This seller has many fine things. He had the Communique tour book as well (my ebay alert) but sold right away, before I even blink...

As I understand it from friends who know something about these things, Italy is also the home of one the major counterfeiters (of "Mr Bob" items, anyway).

I put in ebay two rare items in vinyl, just in case any of you are searching for them.

I paid quite a lot for them in the past so I hope the bids end covering that.

- Dire Straits first lp missprint, first Spanish edition with 1972 date instead 1978
http://www.ebay.es/itm/121879092812?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

- Dire Straits Sultans/Southbound single, Belgium release with the Warner bros vinyl, quite rare, specially by the cover, which is a draw of the band members

You might get lucky, now and then
