First I have to say I would like the song BUT what bothers me is the clicking noise in the background. For me it's like a dripping faucet. It's too loud and I always here this noise that distracts me from the actual song.

Without this noise I would like to hear the song more often, but this noise makes me nervous.
It's a pity.

Is there anybody with similar feelings?

Of the 2 songs we've heard so far- IMO they are poor and I hope they aren't representative of Tracker!...These may be the weaker tunes on the album (I hope so). Tracker could be his best album to date....who knows.

I have been a fan since 1985 and have saw DS, NHB and MK numerous times. Solo, he has made some great records but more and more over the years he has moved towards slower, mediocre music like the above, By what I have heard so far he is just recycling some of his back catalogue!

He's capable of so much better. We'll just have to wait and see what Tracker contains.

Thanks for posting Hola.

@ Bluebird - Yes I hear it too.  It's the drum, but once you've heard it, it's hard to ignore and can be very distracting.   I'm listening to foma's stream too btw.   ;)

I do understand that there are people who don't like it. Maybe I responded a bit too harsh because I think it's a lovely song to sit down with a glass of nice wine and dream away from the reality.  :) The noise you hear is percussion, or drums. So many people, so many words..

I listened to it a few times with an open mind. I believe I will never listen again. This song has nothing for me. imho it's extremely boring, almost knocked me out.

Never listen again? Remember to get your local electronic dealer to modify your CD-player so that it stops before the last track on "Tracker". It should be possible, but it will cost you  ;)
It's the end of a perfect day..,.

Guest vocalists always means a weak song that needed a gimmick to make it sound halfway decent. A strong solid song never needs any other vocalist other than the songwriter himself!

From 18 of your posts, 16 are negative ones - are you sure you're an MK fan?    I see that you didn't like Privateering either!   :think

I'm a huge MK fan. I just think that mixed in with some great songs are an unusually high amount of very medicore songs.

I don't know what to make of it!  Yes, it's slow paced but I don't understand the wide criticism it's received.  Reminds me more of Follow the Ribbon except the end doesn't go on forever without going anywhere.  So after one listen:  not bad.

Don't you also think that there are too many similiarities with In The Sky or If This Is Goodbye? Plus the yuk Sax... but after the tenth listen I must admit I don't hate it anymore...  ;D  :think

Can't remember In the Sky as I haven't listened to it in years!  That's the truth.

Perhaps there's just not really much of a structure to the song if you know what I mean.  I think someone said they thought it was "disjointed" and I would probably agree with that point.
