Compare it with In The Sky and you will see what I mean. Have to Google "disjointed" as I am absolutely not into drugs..   ;D

That's a good one! Come on, people of AMIT, there is going to be something in the new record for all of us - I'm sure.

I like this song. I would have preferred to hear more guitar, for example the first solo sax, imagine the same notes, but played with the Les Paul  ::) ::) ::)
Mark always says he is interested in the idea of doing good records and this objectively has always done, but I was always with the idea of not fully liberate his skills as a guitarist  :hmm :hmm
bye

I think the song is better then In the sky and If this is goodbye. The intro of the song is also a cool thing.

Meanwhile, I must agree.  :)

Good point.. Although I find it difficult. Must compare them. Meanwhile, I have some difficulties understanding the lyrics at some parts. Anyone who can write them down here? Would me really appreciated :-)

Came back here to say the same. Mrs. Moodys whispers are sometimes not easy to understand. Wild Blue Yonder and the star fixed in his sky are not mentioned coincidentally. Is it about a(nother) pilot? Or is the setting just an Airport and a couple in the same situation as in Go, Love? The background horns are he reason for the resemblance with In The Sky. It seems the lyrical theme has connections, too.

Please someone write it down.  :wave

I had the same thought, Mk's parts are easy to understand but Moody's are quite difficult to understand as she doesn't sing but whisper...

I've listened to the song "Nest" on Ruth Moody's album 'The Garden'.
The melody and the way she sings is very similar to Wherever I Go !
They got a name for people like you, yeh they do
And they got a name for people like me too

:wave I like it more than In the sky. I like Ruth's voice and the duet parts are nice. Mark has a song for every setting, every occasion, and mine was in sync the first time I heard it.  :thumbsup

It is hard not to compare it to likes of Are We In Trouble Now, In The Sky and Piper to the End. I do prefer all these to it though..

To me, it's reminiscent of Follow The Ribbon, but the sax also brings In The Sky to mind.   I have always liked Ruth's voice a lot, but I do wish she wouldn't whisper so much at the ends of her lines - the words just disappear into the air!

I think it's a good song for ending the standard album.   :)

Thank you for the lyrics, SL1 - it helps a lot!    :thumbsup
