Very well described. I fell in love with it, too, on the very first listen. The idea of making it sounding like an improvisation coming from playing around (and the live outro of Romeo & Juliet is definitely also in there somewhere).

While listening to this song I got a feeling as if I was spattered with droplets of tenderness.  :)
It was something warm and iridescent like an unlooked-for blessing, just a quiet splash of happiness.

The almost forgotten feeling, yeah...

Definitely 10 out of 10
Throttle, I am in complete agreement with you on this.  This song is amazing.

If I listening this song my thoughts go to Lucky Blue Smith and his sister Pyper America Smith. They both long and cool and Pyper is a girl too.

Guy was asked about the "long" in "Long Cool Girl" and Guy gave his usual "whatever you like" answer.
Does "long"  really refers to the body height? Or has it another meaning?

Like "cool" means she isn't warm!  :)

:hmm  :think I must admit that the Liner notes/booklets have never been a major part of my attention on the releases of albums over the years. We tend to see the lyrics, now tabs/chords almost before we hear the music these days. So my question is:- "Is this the 1st time a member of Mark's family has featured in a booklet/tour guide or other merchandise? Did the Heart locket pertaining to the GH release have a picture inside it?

I am pretty sure the twin played a role in the The Bug video.. otherwise I cannot remember any family around. Apart from his brother on the first two albums.  ;D

I always wondered about that, LE.  The twins were very blonde when they were young, so it could have been the blonde boy in the video - must watch it again!   :think    I'm pretty dubious about it though, because MK always kept his boys out of the limelight.   ;)

So much resemblance, and I mean the two little ones, not the older two actors later together with that nice red haired lady.. I have no offical approval about them, though.

The twins were both blonde, though, but the little boys in the video - one was dark and one was blonde, so it would have to be the blonde boy, if at all!   :think

So, can any one explain what "long cool girl" means? I have never heard before the use of long about people, only tall. Does it have any different meaning?

To be fair i don't think Mark is singing with the same intensity (so possibly meaning) as Little Richard. I think it's just poetic. Long, tends to imply long legs, but I wouldn't dwell on it ! :)
