It was a shame Mark was on with two other musicians. Beryl isn't new any more, it's been out since January and played every day. Would have been nice to hear an accoustic performance of one of the other songs from Tracker, as that is partly the reason Mark was on the show as he has a new record out; it would have given the listener who hasn't bought the album (yet) another song to hear.

Just MK being interviewed without anyone else, and playing a couple of songs in acoustic would had been perfect.

This was a waste of a chance, but better than nothing.
You might get lucky, now and then

MK didn't need anyone else in the studio with him. In fact he could of entertained the whole hour quite happily....

Here is a very short (unfortunately only 5 sec.) Video on YouTube which shows Mark Knopfler on his way to BBC Radio 2.

Yes, I was wondering what that version was, a live version that sounded very much like the CD version, with thank you and good night near the end.

Folks, you can listen to the whole show - albeit lossy - again at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b055dz8g

The CE breakfast show is some kind of a "loud" wake-up show. I guess MK will guest in a more music-related show on the beep soon.
And she's sitting in her Lusso, in the early morning sun.

Wonder what they're saying on the Lulu forum right now?  Hope it's good things about Mark.  :)

I thought it was okay.  He may have resorted to the stand-in stories but he sounded far more relaxed than usual.  Sounded like they were having fun in the studio.  He always gets uptight and nervous on a one to one interview.
