Soon to be?   Congratulations again--Dad!
But a spoonful of forgiveness
Goes a long, long way
And we all should do our best
To get along

Hey BPDNEDCID this is a WONDERFUL idea!!  I love it and sure will try to post in future links as much and often as I can!!!  ;D It's a pity that I don't always have enough time for the things I want to do! :'(

I need to leave now,  but sure will be back this weekend to give some information and links of Independent artists and to read ALL the messages in this thread! ;)

In reply to Waterline man's question re how do we know who can post next, why don't we have a list, a bit like putting your coin on the snooker/pool table in the pub when you want to play the next game.

That way we have an idea of future posts in the thread. If someone who has already posted notices that the thread has stalled then they can then re-add another.

They might want to also put the date alongside their name only (2-days) hence. Bit like this:-

Pottel            Friday 6th March
Next name      Sunday 8th March  (Then, say no-one post for a day or two)
Next name      Thursday 12th March
Next name      Saturday 14th March
Etc.
Etc.

lemme know what you think...
Now to listen to these 4 links......

Thanks Maarten for your next two contributions:

1.  Leo Kottke.   Obviously, he is amazing on the 12-string, his fingers moved up and down the fret in an absolute blur!  Just like BPD, it reminded me of Deliverance.  I enjoyed what I heard, but that is the only thing I have heard him play so far, so I don't know if I would like more of his playing.   If I was to listen for an entire evening to him in concert or a whole CD with something in the same vein, I thing it would become very monotonous indeed.

2. David Gilmour.  I do like David very much, but I feel that Marooned would have fitted in very well on "On an Island" - it is just SO similar to the music on that CD, both style-wise and also the title.   :)

Pottel, I have lots of Pink Floyd CD's, including "The Division Bell" and live shows such as "Pulse", "Live in Gdansk", "Remember the Night" and DG CDs such as "On an Island".

BTW Does Kottke sing anything?

BUT..........................DG is a VERY.!!!!!!!!! close no.2. 8) 8)

Like MK, he gives me goosebumps, and listening to his guitar even moves me to tears (of ecstasy)

I like many other guitarists, but the above mentioned, imho are WAY ahead.!
