There is another chance... MK usually plays in arenas and theaters during april, may, even june, so... why not an Autum/Winter tour (like the one with Dylan) playing in arenas and theaters? He will miss the open air venues and summer festivals but, logistically, maybe it's better to fill an arena that playing a square in Itally in terms of tickets that you can sell...

I would like a winter tour, but that means at least another year until a tour  :( :'( But of course it is better than to wait until spring 2019! A winter tour would mean he would play indoors here, which I strongly prefer instead of outdoors in low temperatures and/or rain.If they could, they would probably have used mittens here in Norway in 2015. I wish we knew how the management plan things, and how much the band are involved in the decisions.

Also, I liked your thoughts about DS/MK solo jbaent!

The idea of a small tour, without a new disc being launched, but with some new songs of an LP in production, would make me happy. Kindoff early bird thing, exploring with the new songs instead of playing always the same arrangements.

Why Ruth, if you have Paul Crockford yelling Mark's name? Imagine him pushing Mark in a wheelchair painted in Union Jack colour scheme? :lol

EC did it.
Gilmour did it
Mark can do it.

But this is the way you do it.

Mark in club with a rockin' blues band I will go. I want to have fun ala BB King.
Mark doing again the way he did the last tours - not sure to be interested anymore.

Ruth can do it and look good.  PC can't.  And by the time he's gets around to touring PC might need wheeled on to introduce him!

So, we have a few weeks to twiddle our thumbs before any more updates. How about a competition to see who can come up with the best fake knopfler news! Success judged by believability, lets go viral!

Somehow I am pretty disappointed with this time schedule and now the summer break... had expected some real news. Also March NOT release is somewhat frustrating.

Only hope is that the mysterious project will be released earlier.. as it is not in his hands...

I really wonder what takes them so long...
