And even that... I can't avoid this thought:

The fact that it's not The Princess Bride musical doesn't mean is not something similar, about a different play, a book etc

I just saw your comment on Guy's forum. From my understanding he didn't say the play itself was nonsense, he meant the fact that it was hinted that Mark was involved is. I guess he was just stating they are not related to that project.

Anyway, if this misterious project has anything to do with Chet Atkins I think Brad Paisley would be a natural collaboration. On stalking duty I found this:

Good version!

Guy answer:

To which album are you referring? I'm not aware of any Chet tribute album.
You might get lucky, now and then

Well, we learnt that Mark is not connected to any Disney musical after asking Guy. No big deal. Anything can be asked and anything he wants to answer will be answered. As long as you ask politely I don't see the problem.

MORE JAZZ! MORE JAZZ! MORE JAZZ!

Seriously, it seems that a lot of "old" musicians tend to go to the jazz side of things in their 60s, 70s and so on (Sting, Paul McCartney, Van Morrison — he always was jazzy, Bob Dylan to name a few). As The Ragpicker's Dream being one of the jazziest and one of the best songs Mark ever made, and seeng him exploring more and more jazzy voicings on a guitar, I hope to hear more jazz from him. Laughs and jokes, and drinks, and smokes...

This is too much for my English understanding, can you please elaborate? :lol
I love jazz since I was born, but the funny thing is that I can't really play it.

It's? easy. Just learn the most difficult chords ever. Any -maj13 sus4 dim7 will do.

Then form a group and just start to play these chords in random order with no clue what so ever about what the other guys are playing.  ;D

around 81-82 Mark was very interested in jazz chords, and he read a book about it (I forgot the name an the author, but sure Ingo knows it) and then he tried to include many jazz chords in his own songs.
Of course the LOG album doesn't sound "jazzy", but there are lot of chords in PI or LOG  that came from jazz theory
the Comfort and Joy soundtrack sounds jazzy, and it seems that Mark wanted to icnlude chords he just had learnt at the time
Badges is clearly jazzy
Fade to black sounds jazzy to me
some live hillbilies tracks sounds jazzy too
Whoop de doo si jazz too
and the Balooney intro too (check Foma's lesson about it  :thumbsup)
and some other songs that don't came to mind yet, but sure when you get older I guess jazz get more proeminent in your music if you are a composer

There is many style from jazz.

I don't like so much New Orelans jazz and swing and free jazz.

I love bop, hard bop, kool jazz, modal jazz, latin jazz and modern Scandinavic jazz. Music for the brein.
