There is not any relationship between both things. It's going to be a musical anyway

What I mean is how comes it that all of a sudden you and Dutchessy are certain the secret project is going to be a musical.
There was no info posted here during the last days that would confirm that.
Or have I missed something?

Richard Bennett said it in an interview which was posted in this very same thread. Just dig in the pages and you will find it.

But Guy told us on his forum that Richard was misquoted  :smack

"misquoted" meaning that "he shouldn't had been quoted about it", as it's still a secret.

"misquoted" meaning that is not "for Broadway", which won't make sense for a musical related about Scotland "things"

"Scotland things" meaning that the leaked song titles for the secret project have lot of references and Scottish expressions.

The only thing I'm positively sure about at this point is that this secret project involves other artists otherwise the secrecy would make no sense, either a Knopfler-Harris sort of album or a musical. In both cases it's not entirely up to Mark to divulge info on it. But again, I no longer care. In my opinion Guy made a huge mistake when he announced they were hitting the studio and then started teasing us with all this idiotic mistery.

It's been more than a year... If Guy had said nothing, after one year of "well deserved rest", fans would had been asking anyway because two years of nothing are too much.

It would had been clever to simply say they are recording slowly than saying they were recording something that they can't talk about...

Exactly, that would've been smarter. All he had to do was to say that and post a new picture every now and then. But he likes teasing.

Guy's site is down :o

Noticed that too. He likely has server issues or he is building something new.

In my opinion Guy made a huge mistake when he announced they were hitting the studio and then started teasing us with all this idiotic mistery.
[/quote]

Is that fair? Firstly, Guy is human, and when lots of fans keep on at him to "reveal" some news, he will slip up some time. Also, to call it idiotic mistery (Sic) is not good either, Guy has clearly been told by Mark not to say anything, and Mark has been asked by whoever not to say anything, so Guy is doing what he is meant to be doing by not saying anything. We don't know why he has been asked that, but IF it is a musical, then these things take years in planning, and then have a massive promotion plug, so it would not be right for Guy to tell us all about it. I say we just wait and see what happens. Roger Waters has been teasing a stage musical version of The Wall for decades!! so, we don't really have a time frame for anything except Mark's new solo album in2018
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.
