« on: May 26, 2009, 12:10:45 PM »
Post was: Salvador Design designing Get Lucky Limited Edition

Just got this post from salvadordesign on Twitter

Putting together personalised casino dice and chips for forthcoming Mark Knopfler album 'Get Lucky' Ltd Edition version. Should be gr8 piece

Casino Dice and Chips including in the limited edition if I read the Twitter message right?

I did asked for photo's but no answer back, I really don't think I will ever get it but at least I tried.

Thanks, Jeroen!   That sounds very interesting and once again, references to gaming, etc. like the cover of Shangri-La!   :)  I hope I will "get lucky" enough to have limited edition!  ;)

update from salvadore: Hi Jeroen, thanks for interest. Afraid I can't send anything out until Mark and Record Label give permission. will update.

So I hope to get to see some photo's soon, and off course will post it then here!

This means also that there is no cover yet but I think it must have got some Casino influence. This can mean that the song "Get Lucky" is about a gambler? Is that correctly spelled?

Casino chips and dice would go very nicely with the Shangri-la playing cards.

But what for the next album? A bingo card or lottery ticket (great promotional possibilities there).

Is he doing just the limited edition?

And who is designing the normal edition?

Is going to be two different covers?

I think the information is a bit confusing, or it

There is no more information then that SalvadorDesign is doing the dice and chips for the ltd edition. I think that he will be doing the complete design because he also made the design for KTGC.

So the dice and chips will be extra's for the ltd edition.. That's my thought..

I hope to see some pictures soon but SalvadorDesing must first get permission from Mark and the management before he will show pictures.

Keep you updated.

I wonder what he did for the KTGC cover, apart of the background colour and mix the photos with other backgroudn cloours, as KTGC cover is a painting by another person  ???

I really can't imagine what kind of work he can do for the new record as the previous one wasn

It's not just the picture though is it, it's also the whole "concept" like fonts, background colours etc.
