Thank you guys! It was a bit unexpected though :lol I'd also want to continue to grow. 75 songs is cool, but I can do better than that.

You know you're great of course even without MK's blessing, but of course it's nice to have.
Honest Congratulations, I am really happy for you! Who knows, maybe you will end up in a Knopfler song on your own.  ;D

Oh yes, absolutely, I could go on without blessings forever, but that's actually the point. Blessings or not, I just do what I like and get on with it.

And yes, the ultimate honour in MK world is a mention in a song (don't know about grey hair and Fenders, though), but I'm not "character" enough to justify that, besides, Mark already did that in Sultans with guitar George, he knows all the chords, so I'm definitely out of the question here. You don't want to mess with Guitar George!

Well, you had MK's blessing from the start, your videos are on his youtube channel from long ago, and nothing is done regarding MK without his thumb up!
You might get lucky, now and then

Correct, the playlist on his channel is almost as old as my little project is. I knew for a long time that MK is not necessarily against me, and they had plenty of time to take me down, so just the fact that I survived working behind Mark's name for so long means something.

I think this publication is not even targeted at me personally, to uplift me, because I know what I do, and I know that I won't butcher any of MK songs and will continue to work no matter what, but at least I'll have some arguments when talking to people who are sceptical towards my work. After all, I'm not just a guy who plays his songs, but I teach it, and that's a whole other story and this sometimes makes sensitive people a bit upset.

I'm happy that all that comes naturally to me and I'm not trying to jump over my head.

What I mean is MK likes what you do, and that's the reason your videos are on his youtube channel.

So congratulations about that, and also because they are doing publicity of them, they want more people to know your videos!

Thank you again! Though I feel I kinda reached the limit of MK fans. I mean MK isn't extremely popular in the first place (compared to The Beatles or Sting), and given that only musicians are subscribing to my channel, and only guitar players, it's an extremely narrow "market" so to speak. Even after the boost in all Mark's social media and website, and dozens of thousands of potential viewers I only got about 500 new subscribers and many comments from people that already know about me. I want to find a way to widen my audience but I'm so busy making MK videos that I honestly don't know how to do that.

Basil time! My voice clearly has not fully recovered yet, but I figured why wait and decided to record this video. Also, just before the recording, I managed to slash my right-hand index finger, so you can see I'm quite busy! Pavel.

It is known (as anytime I have the chance, I say it) that tracker is my less favorite MK record, exactly the last in my list, but Basil is one of my favorite tracks from MK career, a beautiful song that I love from the very first time I listen to it. Good approach to it, Pavel!

To me, Basil is one of the most beautiful "new" songs. I can imagine the song sitting in his desk for years and years waiting to be finished. It feels like autumn, like Basil had been in the autumn of his life at the time. And besides the wonderful song, the outro licks consist of some of the most tasteful notes a Les Paul could offer.

And you, Pavel, are doing that song justice. Well done, once again!  :clap
