"Pale Imitation" is a fun little song to play. A very enjoyable chord progression, great melody, fantastic solo. Everything's here, as always. It's one of the bonus tracks from Mark's latest album "Down The Road Wherever", so you may not even know about it. But it deserves attention, it's classic MK. Pavel.

Excellent work, Pavel. This one is a real gem, sadly left out of the main album. Lots of interesting details in the song structure. I love the modulation part, it's surprising and delivered in a masterful fashion.
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

One of the best songs from DTRW, sadly out of the standard edition. Maybe it was too personal to put it on that version.

Good work as usual!
You might get lucky, now and then

Wow, I never thought about that. Maybe it's true, it's certainly too personal. Maybe same thing with Heart Of Oak? These bonus tracks might have a proper reason for their existence, after all... Terminal Of Tribute is also too personal and I'm glad it's a bonus track.

Tunnel Of Love! Yes, I can’t believe it myself. I wanted to do this song for years, and finally summed up all my feelings towards this masterpiece. It was truly, incredibly, exceptionally hard to pull it off. Happy birthday to me and this is my present to all the viewers. Thank you for watching!

You've said it, it's like two or three songs in one. It's a masterpiece but Marks version is not bad either  :P.

Tunnel Of Love - melting hearts since 1980.

Well said!

I published the chords for my Open G version of "Tunnel Of Love" on the Ultimate Guitar website. Just by the looks of it, you can say this is a ridiculously hard song. I mean, at least 20 chords! And so many parts, that's insane. I'll update the chords for the next few days because you can't make it right, and some mistakes always slip through. But I hope it's helpful. Pro tip: by hitting the "Transpose" +3 button and "Use Flats" option you can get original no capo chords for the song. Also, I'd suggest trying to play it in standard tuning with a capo on the 3rd fret just for fun. Enjoy! I have 1 question, how does it feel to play ? I have no idea

I devoted myself almost every day since summer 1995 to finding a solution to my wrists but I failed,
my best chance to play again is to die and live again in another dimension

The answer is simple — you never know what you've got till it's gone. I guess it feels great to play. Some people can't live without music, some people never pick up a musical instrument in their whole life. If I'd be able to give you back the ability to play, I'd give it the first time I saw that you struggle with it, and everybody on this forum would do the same I'm sure, everybody feels your pain and wants you not to give up.

Back in 2018 I severely damaged my left hand and for a split-second thought that "maybe that's it" for my guitar playing. Though I was able to recover, and I do sometimes get that feeling when you can't do something you normally can do. Same when I got COVID, and I lost the ability to smell for more than half a year. Every meal was a miserable experience and so much fun were taken out of my life.

I think one should confront any obstacle in their life as an opportunity to grow and not an excuse to feel sorry for themselves. If I'll never be able to play, then fine, I'll do something else. Even people who are paralysed down their whole body or people on a life sentence in prison are often able to make do with what they have. If something Mark's music and life can teach us is the tremendous optimism, the glass half full approach.

Took the liberty again to arrange one of the best of Mark's songs — Heart Full Of Holes. It's so good he even played it live in 2019! The high capo position and open tuning would always keep frustrating me, so I had to find another way to play it. And turned out the song sounds great in just Drop D. Next I'll try to play the song more like MK plays it, I promise, haha. Pavel.

Pavel, can't remember if you recorded a video of Scafolder wife, which is one of my favorite songs of MK. Did you? I checked your channel but didn't find it.
You might get lucky, now and then
