Check him out playing on the George Harrison farewell concert. The way he played lead on while my guitar gently weeps....awesome. and I am not a prince fan

Also, "the forgotten part 1" Joe Satriani. Am a sucker for his tapping stuff. Also, do NOT compare the Satch to your average shredder, he is not

Just watch this display of gorgeous tasteful guitar playing from Mr Mike Oldfield, he starts playing at 0:38

Oh, and a certain Ian Thomas is playing drums.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

yes exactly that's also why I like this version (the studio version was on les Paul too by the way), I discovered it back in early 90 and it remains my favorite one since
the song is one of my Beatles fav one with Blackbird and Julia, and something and here comes the sun and and and....but my fav one is Because

Non I don't see Macca, the list is on the YT link :

George Harrison: Guitarra y voz
Eric Clapton: Guitarra (como curiosidad, es una lespaul)
Jeff Lyne: Guitarra
Phil Collins: Bateria
Ringo Starr: Bateria
Ray Cooper: Percusion
Mark King: Bajo
Elton John: Piano
Jool Holland: Piano

It's a great performance as well I admit but not as good as Prince did!!! Maybe it was too much but yet it was the way Prince was!!! Unfortunately it killed him!!! He always wanted to be the best!!;
