Is presale even a good thing? Last tour I got tickets in presale through MK.com for Amsterdam, I was placed in row 20, while others in regular sale were placed in rows in front of me. Tour before that I got tickets in row 6 in regular sale while presale ticket holders were behind me in row 15.
in general we were always better of with the MK.com tickets, the one or the other exception can be excepted.
any Knopfler, Floyd or Dylan will do....

Presale is very tricky thing...

MK.com has reservation for, lets say, the first 20 rows in a venue. So the fact that you buy the tickets in MK.com doesn't means you have tickets in the better row, in row 1, for example. It depends in many factors, like how fast are you buying, for example.

Apart of this, sometimes the venues has agreements with other sellers or sponsors, like vodafone, amex etc, and the venue reserve the better rows (let´s say from 1 to 10) to that sponsors, some others (10-20 rows) to MK.com and the rest in general sale...

Or, some venues reserve just rows 10-20 to MK.com and the rest in general...

Every venue has its agreements with MK.com and other retailers and sometimes is difficult to know what to do. For example, 2013 tour, there were four presales for RAH at the same time, MK.com, ticketmaster, ticketline and RAH site, and each one had their owns seats reserved. I wanted seats at the stalls and it was difficult to find which of the four had that tickets!
You might get lucky, now and then

Yes, it gives some hope that they would shake things in the setlist...

Very interesting indeed that Danny will be back.  Now that we have Nigel firmly installed too does this mean that the folkies are on their way out?  I cannot criticise them and they have added a great deal to Mark's music over the years but I think a change in direction is needed.  This would please me no end and shake up the set too.

No.  The problem with OES tour was that it was all too big, including the huge band and not just the entourage.  I think with Nigel now installed and Danny rejoining, Mark will not want such a big band again.

I don't think so either.   I'm very fond of the folkies, but we are in dire need of a change this time and a whole new set list!   :)

Do we know if the folkies were involved in the recoding of the album this time around?  I remember they were busy with Celtic Connections and some other stuff during a lot of the studio time.  If not it would make sense for a change and bodes well for a set list revision.

Yes, they are amongst the musicians named on the album.

But is Danny back as the drummer or percussionist. I can’t believe that he will drop Ianto, unless he’s not available.

I think Danny is back to play percussion, like on the new album. I would not be so sure about Mike and John leaving, there also flutes and pipes on the new album and lots on previous albums.....

I think John and Mike stay in the touring band. They must play Marbletown, remember?
