Tracker's sound so lifeless and thin. Drums sounds like a childs drum kıt. Has a good songs yes, but sounds badly. Not a sonic way of course. Tastes are different of course.

It doesn't sound thin and lifeless to me, or I wouldn't have been listening for three years!    ;)

İt's Mark Knopfler record after all. Still better nowadays %90.

I don't hate it. It's a nice song.

But in comparation with the rest of record, doesn't say anything to me at least musically. Actually I would had put it between the bonus, after listening to all songs.

I agree abdolutely. Both BOTDF and GOYS are at the moment among the weakest tracks for me.

Funny thing.. In the liner notes there are the numbers of every song at each Player and Richard played exactly the line of songs I listen to all the time in exactly that line ...5-7-8-9-10-11-13... that's the heart of the album for me.

The deluxe edition is papercard slipbox. The standard Edition is jewelcase case. The liner notes are pretty short and je usual thank you's. First time that they are not signed with "MK" but with "Mark"
(Yes I am a sucker for these little details..  ;D)

This sounds daring as Tracker seemed to be praised and decorated especially for it's extremely good sound. I would assume you have a minority opinion here!  ;D

Ok now I understand. Sorry. That has indeed more to do with taste. Each to his own indeed. I like the drums on that record. But on the new one I like them even more!

I agree that the slide guiatr on tracker si too much thin. It lacks some warmness and roundness. both are present on the new record

There can be only one number one ... You know.

Did you studied Maths?

There's a number one, then next, the number two and go on.
You might get lucky, now and then

Well, I didn't read the forum for a day or two and dealing with many posts that only said "number one" again and again and again. It was funny until the third time... After 19 number ones I thought someone forgot it's maths...

I think it's about gambling clubs.    :)

Me, too. I read that "smokeless" is an US expression. So maybe Las Vegas indeed?

LE

I don't see any relation to Las Vegas or gambling at all.   A smokeless .41 is referring to a 41 caliber pistol.   There is smokeless ammunition available.  For example,    https://www.buffaloarms.com/41-long-colt-ultramax-200-grain-cowboy-smokeless-ammo-box-of-50-amou41lc2

Yes but the expression "smokeless"  for guns is an US expression only .. therefore .. US .... therefore Las Vegas possible ...
