I remember an interview from around the time of the Notting Hillbillies album release 1990 where he used the phrase I am a Jack of a few trades, Master of none.
It was a German Magazine but the Magazine left it untranslated which was good... so I heard and learned that phrase for the first time and now it turns up again in one of his songs, slightly different. I know that it is probably a common saying and it means nothing special that he uses it, but somehow I love how everything turns up in his lyrics that we have read from him over the years (Vince in Basil the same, or that picking my way out of here. .)
