I was there; a very emotional affair as I'm pretty sure this will have been the last time I've seen him live in concert.

Before the concert, I saw them in the catering area - they really seem to enjoy hanging out together.

As for the concert itself, nothing I could complain about except maybe the lack of more new songs in the setlist. If this is his last go-around, though, I understand that he wants to cast the net as widely as possible and include songs from a multitude of albums. Once Upon a Time, Matchstick Man, Heart Full of Holes and Speedway were highlights for me - and Piper to the End, which I love. I'm glad he played it instead of So Far Away. There couldn't possible be a more fitting song to end such a concert.

Oh, and the "goodbye speech" wasn't officially a goodbye. "I think I should retire", he said - "but I enjoy it so much. At some point, I'll just fall over like this." He held up his hand and let it drop.

What a beautiful WAM!  It bodes well for the rest of the show by his playing in the first song and you can usually tell it's going to be a great show.

As I already said... it was fantastic. Also, sound open air was excellent. MK was in very good mood. For instance, the long intro was due to a lot of people still looking  for their seats so he „waited“ and enjoyed the view  You can hear him talking to people like „you’re over there“ - pointing to some empty seats in first row  He laughed a lot and every one in the band too - during the whole concert. It was magical

I do find it better watching these clips at the outdoor venues. Great to hear/see the red Strat played beautifully on the Romeo & Juliet outro.

Yeah, I thought the same ever since the tour started. It would be better for them to just leave the stage when there's nothing to do. And come back when there is. Middle-aged men standing around pointlessly isn't exactly the visual surrounding Mark deserves.

(That apart, I do think Tom Walsh is fantastic.)
