Ive never seen Princess Bride.

Me too, but the funny thing is many of my non-MK friends have seen the film and actually liked it (but never cared much about the soundtrack though).

Ive never seen Princess Bride.

Neither have I.  Caught a bit of it but the genre isn't for me.  Not interested.

Haven't seen Cal either.  From what I recall Last Exit is good, but very dark and I don't intend watching it again as it's not exactly entertaining.  Local Hero is the best and Wag the Dog is good too IMHO.

The princess bride is very very entertaining, with lot of humour (Billy Crystal small scene is great), action, and of course love, but humour is the principal ingredient of the film.

Cal is ok. A strange story with the Irish conflict in the middle. It's very interesting how the music flows. Actually, there is music in the film that is not in the released OST...

Last exit is... well. I saw it at least twice with lot of years between, and it's too much for me. The music fits perfectly with the movie but some scenes are really too much.

My advice, watch the princess bride and cal. You will like it, at least the humor of the first one!

Honestly, Metroland is a very nice little movie as well that isn't discussed much.  The 60s/70s soundtrack is really quite good (including Sultans).

I like Metroland too, I think the soundtrack works really well. There is at least one track in the film that's not on the soundtrack too.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Actually more than one...

And there are many songs written by MK that were not used in the film nor released:

The Princess Bride is genuinely funny, even if you don't like the genre. Just to hear the phrase "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." is worth it alone. Mel Smith as the torturist is outrageously funny.

Last time I watched it was 20 years ago, so things may have changed a bit since then he-he.
