It sounds interesting.   I remember a programme that he did on BBC Radio 2 in the 90s called "Roots" where he played music which had appealed to him through his life.    :)
Never heard of this! Anyone taped this back in the day?

I did record the Roots programme at the time and a few years later I transferred it to my computer.  It is 24 mb.  Any suggestions to how I can put it on the forum?   :hmm

Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour was also originally broadcast on Sirius and eventually made it to BBC Radio 2 here in the UK. That was a number of years ago now, but hopefully something similar will happen for Mark’s new show. Either that or it could be made available as a podcast. In any case, I hope we do get to hear it over here because it sounds quite interesting, albeit a rather unusual and unexpected thing for Mark to do!

It's the best thing ever, because you just can't keep an ear on everything good music related, and here you will have suggestions from the man with the perfect taste. Again, I wish this idea would be presented earlier, but I'm happy something like that is in the works. Here in Russia we have a great great jazz musician (who even looks like Mark lol) and he had a radio hour for the past 20-30 years or something. The thing is I discovered A LOT of great jazz records with his program, especially since he's focused on obscure, underrated and live tracks rather than on hits and I smell similar thing with Mark. Can't wait.

A broadcast by a British musician from the British Grove Studios located in London, England, to be available only in the US, sounds good to me :lol

Yeah, seems logical coming from a British artist whose official website is running from Canada.

The Bob Dylan radio show had a very cool name, the MK one is not that cool but I guess it's promotion for his recording studio calling this radio show like his studio...

The promotional text says it's a weekly show, but it doesn't says how many weeks it will last...
