MFN acetate "Master Room"
« on: May 23, 2020, 01:00:56 AM »
Somebody asked me something about an acetate edition, because he can't find any infos about it

I am not expert in such things, but I thought that there could be some people here who could answer this  :)

he has got a 10' acetate "master room" edition of Money for nothing, with a 4min38 length
it is a different one than the "Town house" edition. This one is known, but the "master room" seems to be unknown. No infos found

Does anybody knows something about it ?

thanks in advance

Some info about Master Room here:

https://www.discogs.com/label/830811-Master-Room-Company-Limited

And here

https://www.discogs.com/artist/375165-Arun-Chakraverty

Looks to be an established cutting house for major labels.

Is the mix / cut any different ? Sound clip would be good

Must be an edited mix with that timing maybe someone can identify it from the timing

You can see from the image provided that it is a version with quite a long into..you can tell by the mark of the vinyl

That acetate is probably a test press after mastering and prior  to pressing.

With that timing of over 4mins it would probably be for a 10 or 12 inch  rather than a 7 inch record but I could be wrong

For what you say, the owner of that acetate never played it...

I asked Mimmo Carrata, which has a copy of it, and says it's just the regular MFN edit version.
You might get lucky, now and then
