Broke down and ...
« on: September 22, 2009, 03:38:14 AM »
I broke down a while back and ordered the Get Lucky deluxe boxed set. Today I got this email from MK.com:

"We apologize for the delay in shipping your Get Lucky Box Set. Due to a supply issue, we are experiencing a longer than usual time to receive it in our warehouse. We hope to have this shipping to you by the end of September."

My cd/dvd wont' arrive until around Oct 9 or so. That was the email I got from Amazon.  Now that I've read over MK.com that the dvd won't play on the dvd player for some , will play on the PC for others.  So, I don't know what I'll get.  Play or don't play.  ???

I'll have 3 extra cds as well for ordering the tickets.

Hmmm... Strange. I wonder why it takes so long before you recieve the CD. I ordered on the Thursday night before the release date from www.platekompaniet.no, they packed it on Friday, I had it in my mailbox on Saturday, two days before the release date. This happens every time.

I can't see what's wrong with the digipack. Can anyone enlighten me? The cover is made of cardboard, all right, but it contains the CD, the DVD and the booklet (if you search well  ;)), and the music is wonderful...

I agree wholeheartedly.  My case is creased already and the corners are wearing.  The booklet with the lyrics is difficult to get to as well without fear of tearing the entire thing.  Why couldn't we have had a double jewel case like previous albums with DVD's? ???

Hi,  I received the same email and I wrote back that I expected my two day delivery charge refunded and I then went I downloaded the cd from Amazon, as I didn't want to wait longer....maybe I will receive it and maybe I won't, but MK Store went ahead and put the charge through on my credit card, even though they had not sent my order.

No fair to say the least.....

My previous CD/DVD special editions which were sold in double jewel cases are still in pristine condition but even when I went to get my copy of Get Lucky digipack from the shop every copy on the shelf had a crease down the spine and now the corners on mine are beginning to look worn.  If this is indeed a special edition, I would expect it to come in a case that is befitting that description and not a temporary cardboard sleeve.  Another annoying thing is that I have every MK/DS related official CD in a CD rack and this is the only one that is not there because it does not fit in the slots.  I expect this will be a problem for many other people too.

Yes! We are very lucky it still fits into a CD player, you never know what they do in the future  ;) ;D

Seriously though, I'm not a fan of cardboard digipacks either.
...Well, he's a big star now but I've been a fan of his for years. The way he sings and plays guitar still bring me to tears...

In the future you will be able to dowload it in 24/96 of superior. Of course extra charge will occure because producing music in 24/96 is more costly  :P

And after the future you will be able to get multritrack clone and do your own mix  8)
(and add your own intrument on it)
