"Marbletown" performed by Angelo Fumarola
« on: September 25, 2009, 04:07:26 AM »
Hello!

I have recorded "live at home" Marbletown, just me singing and playing acoustic guitar in fingerpicking, featuring an original improvisation of mine in the final part.

Enjoy it:

Cheers from Italy

Nice one Angelo. I need to get round to learning this. What's the tuning?

Thank you to you all !

@ Dusty: standard tuning except the 6th string dropped to D and capo on fifth fret.
But the secret is in the right hand, I mean the way you fingerpick the strings ;)

@ BBB: yes I can play HFB (but I don't have a les paul yet, hope to buy it soon) as well as every other DS/MK songs, it's easy if one "adsorbs" his style and feeling...it's very different from one who "just plays same notes".

Really great, Angelo! I loved it!! And I think you are very right when you say that it's not all about playing the same notes. And I would like to add: It's not enough or even nesessary to have the same equipement or use the same settings. It's all about style and feeling. And you've got it, Angelo!  :)

Oh yes, of course, you are right Mossguitar.
Style and feeling are much more important than a particular model of equipment.
If you have a sound in your mind and your hands, you can play it somehow.
Always.

Ciao

Angelo has his own Band called Rocking Fingers and they are famous in Italy playing on many concerts, pubs, festivals. They played in an event feat. various guests including Chris White in MK Friends Charity Aid in 2007. And a month ago they were invited to play very successfully in Belgium festival.
I had a pleasure to enjoy 2 of their live performances which was great....

Indeed, Angelo's playing sounds more like Mark than Mark's does these days... I love many of the Rocking Fingers version, they totally rock.
