Southern ukulele shop-Bournemouth

For all the uk based members….

I’m currently on holiday in Bournemouth and paid a visit to the Southern Ukulele Shop. It’s not a music shop, it’s JUST a ukulele shop. Ukes range in price from £45ish to over £3,000.
I’ve been a few times before and have ordered online from that but yesterday was the first time I’d made a purchase from the shop in person.

I treated myself to this. https://www.southernukulelestore.co.uk/shop-by-size/sopranino/ohana-sk21-sopranino-ukulele-all-solid-mahogany/

It’s a smaller than average uke. Most ukes are soprano or concert. I own both sizes so wanted something different.
I’d thoroughly recommend a visit to this shop. Great customer service and lots of lovely instruments.

Short-scale soprano uke??? Wow, and I thought you can't get any smaller than this :lol

It is a great uke, and reminds me of my Martin S1. Soprano ukes are unbeatable when it comes to fun! Concert ukes are essentially little guitars without two strings, but Soprano is on another lever. Let alone short-scale Soprano!

Thanks a lot. It’s a lot of fun to play.

So there are two sizes smaller than a soprano.
See here: https://www.guitarlobby.com/ukulele-sizes/

The sopranissimo is novel but too small for my fingers (and I’m no big guy.)
