I have a strange impression that Carlos Santana is not looking towards MK.

Not a lot. He's focusing on Brian and the camera, and looking for inspiration from the heavens above  :)
But there's obviously a lot of mutual respect between them.
Santana seems a genuinely nice chap, I like his attitude and his spirit!
I just wish they could have played that song together ten or twenty years ago. Why did they take so long to meet?!

All the episodes are fantastic. It is a great pleasure and joy when I can watch them. I love to watch MK from a different perspective. For me, these documentaries, films have the same value as, for example, those from years ago:

A Life In Songs
Phil Cunningham meets Mark Knopfler
Guitar Stories Mark Knopfler Documentary (with John Illsley)

Kris-b thank you very much  :)

I agree all the way, Robson!
Brian and Mk are a great team, although I never thought I'd ever see them together in any format.

The speedvision documentary was great, too! I wish there was a better quality version of that.

First I thought "chalk and cheese", but they're actually very similar in so many ways!
I'd just hoped to hear a bit more Geordie from Mark, his accent is so polished these days, but Brian and Sam Fender made up for it!

I have now watched the Carlos Santana episode, and I agree that he doesn't look at Mark that much, which is weird, of course it was great to hear the two guitar legends play together, although Mark was just taking a back seat, which makes sense as Carlos was the focus of the show, Carlos can certainly talk though, but most of it was So Far Away from Mark's musical world.
The next series I would like:

1. David Gilmour.
2. Enya
3. Mike Oldfield.
4. Mary Chapin Carpenter.
5. Phil Collins.
6. Shania Twain.

I think you need people with a rich musical history to make the interview interesting and engaging.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Was it not just that Carlos' seat was facing Brian's?

I don't think he ever spoke anywhere near like Brian!  Mark has such a posh boy middle-class accent.

Probably not. Maybe it's a family thing. David doesn't have a thick accent either.

The only time you will heard the names Katy Perry and Justin Timberlake in a video with MK in.
He probably had to ask Sam who they were once the cameras were off
