Two Pairs of Hands   4:05

We got the roller coaster piling along
The power and the glory with the song
Holy moly, where did the time go?
I told you, baby, now you know

I'm keeping the balls in the air
When I'm up here on the band
There'll be a little bit here and there
Still be trying to understand

But they'll all be in the air
When I'm up here on the band
What it is, I'm juggling here
I've only got two pairs of hands

There's a pin-drop, they follow a thread
And a lonе voice cries out overhеad
When the thunder bursts in the velvet night
There's joy and wonder and delight

I'm keeping the balls in the air
Tryna keep up with the band
There'll be a little bit here and there
I might get covered by the drifting sand

But they'll all be in the air
When I'm up here on the band
What it is, I'm juggling here
I've only got two pairs of hands

They're back in the streets and into the bars
The trams and the trains and back in their cars
Holy moly, where did the time go?
I told you, baby, now you know

I'm keeping the balls in the air
Tryna keep up with the band
There'll be a little bit here and there
Might get covered by the drifting sand

But they'll all be in the air
When I'm up here on the band
What it is, I'm juggling here
I've only got two pairs of hands

The funky opener ‘Two Pairs Of Hands,’ inspired by a story shared by percussionist Danny Cummings about a memorable malapropism.

‘’Two Pairs of Hands’ would just be a song trying to explain what it’s like coping with all of the info and trying to collate everything when you’re standing in the middle of the stage with a huge band. You’ve got a big audience around you and you’re just trying to process all of this stuff at the same time.’

This looks very mysterious :think

Not really, although Danny saying that he needs two pairs of hands isn't really a malapropism, it's a common saying.

Must be something about drummers and malapropisms, some of the Beatles songs came from Ringo saying stuff like this.

Yes, Ringo said a hard day's night.
Knopfler, Oldfield and Gilmour is all the guitar I need.

Although the song is inspired by a malapropism, it is possible that it might not be the title . Innthe lyrics we might hear the exact thing.

Eight Days A Week line was from Paul McCartney's driver who complained he works eight days a week ;D

OK, but I think this quote tells us that the song is written from MK's perspective.

Well, would it be a probable asumption to think that Danny has an important part in this, let's say like in Punish The Monkey? Or would this be too simple when it comes to MK's songwriting?  :lol

Where do you  obtain that  inormation from? There is nothing im the new diary entry that gives any hint for country.
