It's a decent guess but lap steel isn't just played on country. Have a listen to some of David Lindley's great work with Jackson Browne.

That's true, but I think we're closer than further to thinking there's something country in this song ;)

Lindley on his Supro through the Dumble is pure magic.

And nowhere near country. :)

Franco81:
If I can ask you a question: I love the drum sound "Wine Red Ripple" (River Towns) in the diaries pages is kit n°3. Waiting for me to discover it for myself.. can you tell me which new songs it was used in?

GF:

Two Pairs Of Hands, in a slightly different way. The song is appropriately titled since there are in fact two drum kits on it.

I think Two Pairs Of Hands is the first part in the movie One Deep River part 1.

I was very intrigued by this answer he gave me, two drums in one song....I'm looking forward to hearing it, I can't wait!

This snippet (from "One Deep River" video, part 1) sounds not just like it could be the album opener, but also like something they might have decided to open live shows with. A bit like "Broken Bones" during the "Tracker" tour. But ... :'(

Apparantly Guy made a radio edit for this song. Maybe the next single.

There is a question about it on the forum, but as a non native speaker I don't exactly understand what "I believe it’s already bolted" means...

Hi guys!
Yesterday I asked Guy if after AOTG there would be a new single before the album release: it will be Two Pairs of Hands :)

Yes, after AOTG.  Evidently WMG is just a promotional song.  I'll give you my question with Guy's answer:
I:
Hi Doc!
A questinon: is there a new single coming out before Mark’s album?
Guy:
I believe it’s already bolted. I have done radio edits for both Ahead Of The Game and Two Pairs Of Hands.

Yes. I saw it. I thought Watch Me Gone was the second single :) I'm glad :)
