That was actually a surprisingly nice and interesting interview. And I was pretty surprised by what he said about playing in time. That he was still learning to get that right even around the time of BIA.

Great to have Knopfler in the mag, really good for the layman, but I didn't learn anything to be fair. I think those stories have been covered anyway... the only info i've always been denied especially by many of you so called superfans are the intricate details of who played what guitars on Love Over Gold, especially when DS had a phenomenal talent in Hal Lindes. Making Movies might also be up for debate but Sid Mcginnis was brought in and I think I can make out what he played. Especially on Expresso Love. But nothing regarding LOG. Which of course is Dire Straits best album by a country mile....

So yeah if you have information about who played which guitar parts on the LOG album, i'd be intrigued.

A nice competition and for a good cause.

I listened to the Blu Ray last night for the first time.  Probably my setup but the 1985 CD mix sounded absolutely stunning compared to the other mixes, alas I do not have Atmos equipment to appreciate that mix.. Instrumental mixes I need some time to listen to properly, but the instrumentation is quite sparse on the likes of RATR.
